REVITALIZING DOWNTOWN LOVELAND

Revitalizing the heart of Loveland is the purpose of our non-profit, all-volunteer, community association. We accomplish this by attracting more attention, more businesses, more events and more visitors to downtown Loveland.

Our members appreciate:

Everyone will see the value and reap the benefits of belonging to the Downtown Loveland Association.

We are looking for residents, business owners, property owners, patrons and sponsors to work with us in making the heart of Loveland a thriving, exciting and popular destination. You do not have to live or work downtown to get involved - you just need to CARE about downtown and enjoy visiting this vital and vibrant part of Loveland. Become a member! Become a volunteer! Show your commitment to our community and your support of our downtown by joining the Downtown Loveland Association!

P.S. We are not funded by the City of Loveland or other entities. Your membership helps keep our organization alive!

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 2004-2008

ENGAGING LOVELAND and THE FOURTH STREET DISTRICT (Association of Downtown Merchants)

were both begun with help from the Downtown Loveland Association. The DLA went to the City of Loveland requesting funding for events and a Main Street program, and out of those conversations was born Engaging Loveland, a city-funded organization.

The DLA gave seed money and support to the Association of Downtown Merchants to hire a marketing professional from Denver to help them get established.

ARTS GUIDE FOR LOVELAND

The DLA has taken on the massive undertaking of creating a guide for the arts in Loveland, called LOVEland ARTSource. This much-needed marketing tool was requested by an arts focus group comprised of artists, gallery owners and heads of arts organizations in Loveland. A number of meetings bringing together the arts and performing arts groups were sponsored by McWhinney and the Downtown Loveland Association over the past year.

For more information, please contact Susan Richards at Sage Moon Originals at 970-

or Mary Bahus-Meyer at 970-962-9203 or mary@fullcirclemarketing.net.

PARKING

The Design Committee, led by Lisa Raberge and Cheryl Parker, worked with City of Loveland and a Loveland artist to create signage identifying and naming each of the 9 public parking lots downtown.

A color map showing downtown parking lot locations is available to the public from the DLA. Click here.

DOWNTOWN FLOWERBEDS

Many of the colorful and cheery flowers and plants throughout downtown were purchased, planted and maintained by the DLA Design Committee! As of Summer 2008, the care of the flowerbeds was resumed by the City of Loveland.

Many thanks to gardening guru D.J. Browne, who dedicated many hours to this project,

and to all the volunteers who helped prepare the beds and plant them.

MONTHLY NETWORKING PARTIES

The 3rd Thursday of each month, networking parties happen at a different member's location. From 5:30-7:00 or 6:00 until 7:30, 40-100 people typically show up to meet other business owners, friends and neighbors. You provide the place and refreshments, we get the people into your place of business! Call Christine Kovacs to host a networking meeting.
