ABOUT DLA NETWORKING EVENTS

DLA networking events are held quarterly and include downtown updates and speakers.

We often partner with other organizations in hosting events and presenting information pertinent to downtown Loveland.

WHO CAN HOST A NETWORKING EVENT

Any member of the DLA can host a meeting, which brings potential clients in to their business. Members may also choose to host or co-host a meeting at a location other than their place of business, such as at a restaurant or event venue.

Any partnering organization, such as the Loveland Chamber of Commerce or Engaging Loveland, may also host a networking event in conjunction with the DLA.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments and beverages are usually offered by the host.

The owners of the Bonnell Mercantile Building Event Center hosted the October 21st quarterly networking party for the Downtown Loveland Association. The former location of Lux has been transformed into a 2,000 square foot facility that can hold a number of special events, ranging from a week-end gallery for a visiting artist to a fund-raising activity for a non-profit. The event center at 129 E. Fourth Street will have its official opening to the public in November 2010.

New DLA President Jan Brown gave exciting updates about downtown, including information about the Association of Downtown Merchants, Artspace, Main Street and WinterWalk holiday event. Former Downtown Loveland Association president Bob Doolittle was thanked for his years of dedicated service to the DLA and given a restaurant gift certificate. Those who generously donated toward the DLA purchase of a planter for the new alley way next to Kitchen Alley were also thanked for their support of downtown.

The next quarterly DLA event will be held in January 2011. If you are interested in hosting this event or need more information, please contact Brian at 970-231-8302.
