ABOUT DLA NETWORKING EVENTS

DLA networking events are held quarterly and include downtown updates and speakers.

We often partner with other organizations in hosting events and presenting information pertinent to downtown Loveland.

WHO CAN HOST A NETWORKING EVENT

Any member of the DLA can host a meeting, which brings potential clients in to their business. Members may also choose to host or co-host a meeting at a location other than their place of business, such as at a restaurant or event venue.

Any partnering organization, such as the Loveland Chamber of Commerce or Engaging Loveland, may also host a networking event in conjunction with the DLA.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments and beverages are usually offered by the host.

Attention, all artists - there's a new group in town just for you! Called The Artists Collective, the group was founded in May by Angela Canada Hopkins and Lynn Kincanon to provide local artists in the Loveland community with opportunities to network, hear speakers, meet other artists and learn from each other. Visual, performing and literary artists are all welcome.

Monthly meetings are free and the next one is Monday night June 13th 6:30-8:30 at the Cherry Blossom Event Center on 4th Street. The topic is "Wearing Many Hats - Engaging and Marketing to Your Customers," an interactive presentation involving the audience wearing hats and practicing talking with and marketing to different kinds of customers. The presentation is by mad hatter/guest speaker Mary Bahus-Meyer of Full Circle Marketing & Design, a Loveland ad agency in business for 11 years.

The speaker has been an active member for 7 years of the nonprofit Downtown Loveland Association - the longest-running downtown group. She also serves on the board of the Office of Creative Sector Development and the commission for Embrace Northern Colorado.
