Thanks to the many volunteers who helped sell soft drinks at the DLA's Pepsi booth during the August Corn Roast Festival, the DLA raised over $800! Part of the sales were split by Pepsi with the nonprofits running the Pepsi booths at the festival. Literature about the DLA, ADM and Downtown Loveland was also given to booth visitors, including the 2010 Loveland Artsource and brochures/maps for the Fourth Street Merchants Association and for "Night on the Town."
Engaging Loveland and the Loveland Chamber of Commerce did a great job planning the event and it was fun and very well attended.
Many thanks to the wonderful volunteers who spent their weekend time volunteering in the DLA Pepsi booth:
- President of the DLA, Bob Doolittle
- Board members Celeste Smith, Carla Schlosser, Barry Floyd and Mary Bahus-Meyer
- DLA administrative assistant Brian Jarvis
And special thanks to our family members, friends and relatives:
- Ralph and Cheryl Parker (former member of the DLA's Design Committee and long-time supporter)
- Satori Bahus-Meyer (Mary's 10 year-old daughter)
- T.J. Schlosser (Carla's husband)
- Alaynna (Barry's cousin)
P.S. Did anyone recognize board member Mary Bahus-Meyer and her daughter dancing with The Belly Belles in the parade?! Their group won first place in the "Theater, Dance, Cheer and Gymnastics" category in the parade!
