3. Provide the driving force for development of a BID (Business Improvement District)/DDA (Downtown Development Authority)
- Research and obtain existing downtown marketing survey (Mark Cittone) and the University of Northern Colorado Study (put together for the Loveland Downtown Team)
- Learn as much as we can and re-invite Chip Steiner to a meeting just to discuss these issues
- Meet one-on-one with council members
- Meet with Alan Krcrmik (sp) and/or city staff
- Talk with major employers and building owners
- Identify partners to facilitate process
4. Strengthen Partnerships with the Loveland Downtown Team and other organizations promoting downtown redevelopments
- Fill the DLA board seats according to needs of the strategic plan (look for skills we need)
- Make public speaking engagements
- Contact city council to establish liaisons and obtain running city council calendar so we can attend pertinent sessions
- Invite Councilors to board meetings
- Engage with Community Foundation
- List possible partners
5. Promote Activities that provide DLA Financing and Fundraising to support the DLA mission
- Establish solid financial DLA policy – Establish a small 2 or so finance committee and create a spending work sheet
- Must engage with our current membership (especially focus on those about to drop off, along with Home State Bank.
- Enhance and upgrade our budget
- Cooperation with Engaging Loveland on Event
- Large Exclusive Event
- Make people wish they had attended if they didn’t (Something Special)
- Membership: artists need to be engaged by the DLA, also need to target residents
- Feed and Grain Haunted House would be a great fundraiser (decided to ask the design committee if they would be interested in determining feasibility (including insurance)
