As the Heart Improvement Plan continues, we’re excited to celebrate the completion of another block of 4th Street!
This event is FREE to attend and open to the public!

Join us on Saturday, September 12 from 11:00am-4:00pm on 4th Street between Lincoln Avenue and Cleveland Avenue for an afternoon of family-friendly festivities.

What to expect: 

Live Music - we're hosting free live music throughout the day on 4th Street.

  • Sugar Britches: 11:00am - 1:00pm

  • Roka Hueka: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Live Artists - Our friends at Independence Gallery will be coordinating live art demonstrations and plein air painters on the street.

Sidewalk Sales - Retailers on this block will have merchandise set up on the new sidewalks, stop by and support one of our many independent retailers.

Community Chalk Mural - Local artist Melissa Robinson will be creating and leading a community chalk mural on 4th Street.

Bites on the Block

Celebrate the grand reopening of Fourth Street during the Fourth Street Block Party with Bites on the Block—a delicious tasting event showcasing Downtown Loveland’s amazing restaurant scene. Your tasting ticket includes 9 delicious bites from 9 local restaurants, giving you the perfect opportunity to discover new favorites while enjoying live music, plein air artists, interactive pastel art, shopping, and all the excitement of the block party.

We have limited pre-sale tickets to help provide each of our ticket-holders with a great event-experience.

We will have 100 day-of tickets available that are first come, first serve. Ticket sales will start at 11:00am on Saturday, September 12th - you can purchase tickets at the Downtown District Tent which will be located in front of desk chair workspace on 4th Street. Day-of tickets will be priced at $25!

We appreciate all the interest the public has shown in this event. The purchase of each ticket supports our awesome Downtown Loveland businesses. Pre-selling tickets helps them prep, staff and anticipate the day's event!

You don’t need to be a member of the studio to attend this class but registration is required.

Take a “4th Street Virtual Tour” of The Heart Improvement Plan

1:30pm at The Rialto Theater

Join City of Loveland Project Manager Shelley Aschenbrenner and other HIP Streets project staff for an inside look into the 4th Street Revitalization Project. Experts on the project will be discussing the progress and challenges that the team encountered throughout construction. The presentation will include site photos, history of the infrastructure and information about the future uses of 4th Street.

The Rialto will be hosting formal building tours at 11:30, 12:30, and 2:30

Sugar Britches

Sugar Britches is a blend of mischievous high-brow honky-tonk with eclectic instrumental accompaniment and clever lyrics, written by Brian Johanson and performed by a collection of characters. Combining good ‘ol country heartache along with snarky folksy wit, Sugar Britches has been playing non-stop throughout Colorado and the Great West in bars, parking lots, weddings, bat mitzvahs, rodeos, amphitheaters, and theaters since 2017.

Roka Hueka

Roka Hueka (Row-Kah-Way-Kah) is Denver’s premier Latin Ska band. Born in 2014, its members originate from Mexico, El Salvador and the US. Roka Hueka’s music draws on influences such as Cumbia, Funk, Reggae, Soul, and traditional Ska.

Roka Hueka has been named one of the Top Ten Latino bands in Colorado and has been featured on the cover of Westword Magazine. The band is known for extremely high-energy performances and has a diverse and passionate following.

Pastels on 5th is a free, family-friendly, community-wide sidewalk chalk art festival where artists, businesses, and downtown Loveland come together to transform 5th Street into a spectacular sidewalk gallery. This event is designed to highlight the thriving Loveland arts community and serve as a benefit for Alternatives to Violence.
